Works by Johann Nepomuk Hummel

Hummel published 127 works during his lifetime, more than half of which were piano pieces. In addition, there are 39 unpublished works (WoO.), 9 posthumous works (Op.posth.), and a systematic list of works (S = suppl.no. [supplement number]) including works without work numbers. ) was created by Hummelist Joel Sachs (A Check List Works of JNHummel). With the exception of symphonies, he has composed more than 200 pieces across all genres. Not only as a pianist but also as a popular composer of the time.   As an educator, he actively nurtured disciples, producing disciples such as Phalanck, Hiller, Henselt, and Thalberg. His writings include "Mozart's Memoirs", "Autobiography", and "Theory and Practice of Piano Performance". The list here has been created with as much information as possible, referring to the catalog with notes at the beginning of Ginmershied, the New Grove Dictionary of World Music, the catalog of Sachs' works, Mark Kroll's work list and CD commentary, etc.
